![]() ![]() Personally, it's been liberating for me not to worry about always having a cable with me. With the built-in support of the OS, connecting to the device is seamless and reliable. Note that this was possible but you wouldn't call it easy (or reliable) at all. Released just this January and only supported in devices running Android 11+ is the ability to, easily, connect and debug your development device over WiFi. Maybe you missed one of them and it will change your everyday developer life forever :) Wireless debugging Just a collection of what I consider some of the most useful features I use in Android Studio. So you won't find anything "new" in this post. In all those release announcements, features are bundled together, and skimming over them is a common practice by busy engineers. I hope this is not a dumb question. No matter how long you've been in Android development there's always a trick in Android Studio that you probably missed. I am on Windows 10, if that has anything to do with it. Didnt have the change to try with another phone. This happens on a fresh installation as well. I run the latest Android Studio ( Flamingo at the time of writing this post ) and the same issue occured on Electric Eel as well. I have enabled developer options and wireless debugging from the phone settings.īoth the pc and the phone are on the same network / router. I generate the QR code from Android Studio, opening the QR scanner through the phones' wireless debugging option, it pops a message "Pairing Device." with a loading screen and it stays there indefinitely.Ĭhoosing to pair device using code changes nothing. So as the title states, I have a problem with wireless debugging. ![]()
